Our Team – Wing Chi “Gigi” Leung
Occupational Therapist
Gigi graduated from the University of Sydney with a master’s degree in occupational therapy in 2019. She has clinical experience working with adults experiencing traumatic injuries and mental disorders, children with developmental delay and learning difficulties, their families and support systems. She is committed to helping individuals to identify their strengths, and enabling them to develop skills to support independent living and social participation through individual and group programs.
Gigi believes in the potential and capacity of all individuals to learn and grow. She is passionate to support people with complex needs to engage in their life roles, achieve their goals, connect to the community and make positive changes to their wellbeing. She is committed to continuous personal development as well as supporting families and carers to essential skills and knowledge development to people who provide support to their beloved ones.
Career Snapshot
Prior to completing her occupational therapy training Gigi had a background working in a management role in manufacturing and production where she excelled in organisation, problem solving and consultation with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes. She is also a fluent Cantonese and Mandarin speaker and continues to work as a volunteer professional visitor supporting people from non-English speaking backgrounds in residential facilities.
Gigi currently holds registration with The Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and membership with Occupational Therapy Australia.
