Occupational Therapist

Michelle is a warm and client centred occupational therapist who is committed to supporting people to reach their potential. Michelle has quickly become a valued member of the team at Zeal, combining her warm and bubbly personality with clinical experience working with people experiencing functional difficulties due to a combination of cognitive, physical and mental health challenges. She believes with the right support and approach everyone has the capacity to participate in meaningful activities, ultimately improving their quality of life and wellbeing.

Michelle has demonstrated commitment to professional development and learning throughout her career. She has developed strong holistic  assessment skills focused on supporting people to live safely in their homes and communities. Michelle is a creative problem solver and enjoys working as part of a team to work with clients on areas that are important to them.

 

Career Snapshot

Michelle studied and graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2015. Upon graduation she worked in Ireland in an orthopaedic and older adult’s inpatient rehabilitation setting. In 2016 she moved to London where she worked in busy, teaching hospitals within the National Health Service and gained experience across a range of clinical areas including acute respiratory, aged care, acute stroke, and community stroke rehabilitation. Most recently in her career she has worked in A&E services as part of the frailty team, oncology/renal and palliative care, and in a community rehabilitation setting working with older adults in an inpatient setting.
