Our Team – Florence Gray-Weale

Florence is an empathic and warm psychologist committed to providing evidence-based psychological care to individuals with complex needs. She is passionate about supporting people from diverse populations and marginalised communities to achieve their goals and find fulfillment in life.

Florence works with people who have a range of issues, such as major mental illness, complex trauma, intellectual disability, emotion regulation, chronic health conditions, and addiction. She has a particular interest in assessment and treatment for problem behaviour, including self-harm, aggression and violence, and providing support for individuals in crisis. Florence has experience working in hospital and community settings, with individuals, families and groups. She uses a trauma-informed approach and has training with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

In addition to her clinical work, Florence is currently working towards her PhD in Forensic Psychology at the University of New South Wales. Her research looks at treatment needs for partner-violent offenders. She plans to commence her Forensic Psychology Registrar program in the near future.
